TWM sponsors Badshot Lea youth and Colts

Family lawyer and Principal in the Surrey firm TWM Solicitors LLP, Karin Walker, was proud to present Harry England with the first TWM Solicitors award for a team sport.

The club provides an opportunity for boys in the Badshot Lea and Farnham area to develop their football skills, at the same time as learning the importance of being a member of a team. When national statistics of children being overweight from an early age are becoming a regular feature in the press, clubs such as Badshot Lea Youth and Colts provide a valuable service to the local community offering the facility of regular outdoor exercise and support.

Karin Walker, whose son has been a member of the club since that age of six, explained to an audience of families of the players and local residents, that TWM Solicitors had provided jackets for her sons team as part of a marketing initiative since 2002.

Now as part of TWMs corporate responsibility programme the firm is becoming involved in sport and recreational activities for particularly young people across the county and also has its own running club whose members run regularly in charity events.

The decision to provide trophies like the one presented to Harry, said Karin Walker, is intended to support the enthusiasm generated by those running these local clubs and to actively encourage team sports such as this across the county. I was delighted to present Harry with the first of these trophies. It is an initiative which we at TWM hope will be taken up by other local businesses to help and encourage young people in our community.
